KITTIE: Allentown Show Cancelled

February 14, 2007

Canadian all-girl metal band KITTIE has issued the following statement:

"KITTIE regret to announce that their show scheduled for tonight [Feb. 14] with WALLS OF JERICHO and 36 CRAZYFISTS at Crocodile Rock in Allentown, PA has been cancelled due to the severe weather in the Northeast USA. The snow and ice has caused immeasurable problems in transportation that is preventing the band from getting to the area. The ladies send their apologies to Allentown fans and will attempt to get back to the area as soon as possible. A definitive statement will be issued tomorrow concerning their ability to get to their Feb. 15 Jacksonville, NC show."

As previously reported, KITTIE filmed a video for the song "Funeral for Yesterday" on February 5 in Long Island, New York. The track is the title cut of the band's new album, due on February 20 via KITTIE's record label, X of Infamy. A trailer for the DVD that will be available as a companion disc with "Funeral for Yesterday" has been posted online at YouTube.com.

KITTIE's new CD was recorded at Retromedia Studio in Red Bank, New Jersey with producer Jack Ponti, who has previously worked with BON JOVI, SKID ROW, and ALICE COOPER. Other songtitles set to appear on the new album include "Never Again", "The Change", "Breathe", "Last Goodbye", and "Slow Motion". The band recently finished mixing the effort with producer Kevin Shirley (IRON MAIDEN, DREAM THEATER).
